Admission Procedure
Every year Hamdard Study Circle (HSC) conducts entrance examination for HSC Preliminary Programme, held normally in July, a little after the UPSC Prelims is conducted. Aspirants who wish to join the programme are admitted on the basis of an Entrance test and Interview.
The entrance test is conducted all over India in HSC’s 25 centres–Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Aurangabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bareilly, Bidar, Calicut, Chennai, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Kavaratti, Kolkata, Guwahati, Srinagar, Imphal, Hyderabad, Jammu, Mewat, Moradabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Ranchi, Raipur, Port Blair and Thiruvananthapuram.
The exam comprises:
- Objective General Studies Paper (100 questions)
- CSAT (Qualifying)
- Essay Writing (Medium can be one among English, Hindi or Urdu).
Short listed candidates will be called for personality test which will be conducted in HSC premises at Talimabad, New Delhi. The interview panel consists of eminent bureaucrats, journalists, professors, and industrialists etc.
Selection of candidates is based on merit.
